WILLIAMSTOWN’S Christmas Night Market returns this year bigger and better than ever and well supported by local businesses and the chamber of commerce.
Enchanted By Books trader and spokesperson Laura Nardo said the market was a chance for the community to get out do some Christmas shopping at their convenience.
On Friday 6 December shops along Ferguson St and Douglas Parade will be open for trade from 6pm to 9pm to encourage locals to shop local and support local businesses.
“It’s a chance for the local community to get out and do some Christmas shopping at a time that suits them and have some fun doing it,” she said.
There will be a host of activities for the family to enjoy including children’s arts and crafts, meet and greet with Santa and face painting.
There will be live music on the street to create a buzz and shoppers’ passports and prizes to be won.
“We are also hoping to create the world’s largest paper chain – so come and give us a hand.”
A spokesperson from The Williamstown Chamber of Commerce said it was working with the Douglas Parade and Ferguson St traders and encouraging all businesses to do their bit to really bring out the festive feel and create a lovely Christmas market atmosphere.
