THE talents of young Hobsons Bay musicians will be featured on two CDs now in production as part of a “Kool Skools” program, run jointly by the state and local governments.
Ten local bands spent a day in each of June and July recording and working on the CDs to gain insight into the music industry.
Each band recorded two songs at Studio 52 in Collingwood as well as a video clip of their experiences.
Participating bands were Beyond All Walls, Nosferatu, Cidersweets, The Trips, Tribal Machines, Nuke Dukem, Masketta Fall, Detrification, Laura Lethlean and Daze of Bliss.
Other local bands are encouraged to apply for next year’s program.
The CDs will be launched at an awards night in October.
