A PAIR of rather confused goats were rescued from a suspicious fire in Sunshine recently.
A total of 21 fire-fighters and seven appliances attended the blaze, at a single-storey dwelling in Hampshire Rd, just before midnight on Sunday 26 May.
A Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) spokeswoman said the “two live goats” were rescued from the rear of the property after it was set alight.
The MFB spokeswoman said investigators believe around $200,000 in damages was caused by the fire.
When fire-fighters arrived at the property they discovered the 10-metre by 15-metre timber home “completely involved”.
The fire was deemed suspicious and police are investigating the cause. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
