IT WAS quite a spectacle when pupils, teachers and parents from Altona Primary School turned out in their best red-and-white gear last week.
As part of Literacy and Numeracy Week, the school held many events under the theme of Guinness World Records.
On Wednesday, hundreds of costumed students and staff gathered in the playground including Grade 3 pupils Holly and Emma, pictured with school captain Jamie. Next to them, eleven-year-old student Flynn carried a ’Where’s Wally’ walking cane and said he enjoyed reading about the hard-to-find hero.
The school attempted to break the world record for the largest number of people dressed as ‘Where’s Wally’ in one place – while tapping their heads and rubbing their stomachs.
The youngsters also danced and posed for proud parents who filmed the novel event. 86507 Picture: ALESHA CAPONE
