Jobs for locals

WOOLWORTHS is the latest shop to open in Melton’s new shopping location, Woodgrove Shopping Centre. To celebrate the supermarket’s opening on 11 December an array of activities have been organised for the community to enjoy. The day will start with a speech from Mayor Cr Bob Turner and the cutting of the ribbon at 8 am. Store Manager Adrian Sanelli and Assistant Store Manager Ben Emmett were excited to start building relationships with the local community. On the day they will present Melton South Primary School and Wedge Park Primary school with $1000 cheques. “For us it’s massively important to gain a foothold in the community from day one and build on that relationship,” Mr Bennett said. The new supermarket will also create many new jobs for residents. “We are going to have 120 staff members and majority of them will be locally employed,” Mr Emmett said. 110933 Picture: DAMJAN JANEVSKI
