A 21-year-old Kurunjang man has been interviewed and will be charged on summons after police executed a search warrant and found a home-made explosive device in his home.
The home-made bomb was located inside the property on Nolan St on 28 January.
The Bomb Response Unit attended the scene to dismantle the device.
No one was injured but police said the find was extremely concerning.
“These types of devices pose a significant risk should they detonate. There has been many instances of people being seriously injured by home-made bombs,” Senior Sergeant Barry Jenks said.
“As was the case in this instance, people who make these devices are novices and often it is the maker who is injured.”
