Robbed and assaulted while waiting for the bus

POLICE have appealed for information after two separate theft-related crimes occurred in St Albans and Kings Park last week.
A 32-year-old man was robbed while he was standing at a bus shelter in Jamieson St, St Albans last Sunday at around 5.10pm.
The man was approached by two unknown males who were driving a blue Holden VN Commodore or similar model.
They grabbed their victim around the neck before demanding his wallet and mobile phone.
The victim handed the items over, but one of the offenders punched him in the face before returning to the car and driving away.
In a separate incident on Friday 22 February, three unknown men entered a Kings Park residential address at around 2pm.
One of the males who entered the Main Rd West home was armed with a shotgun.
Police said the trio of offenders forced two residents to the rear of the home, before asking questions relating to their families.
The trio also ransacked the home’s bedrooms and took cash and mobile phones before fleeing.
One of the offenders was described as Caucasian wearing a balaclava.
The other two men were described as Asian and wearing scarves over their faces.
The men were seen leaving the scene in a white-coloured vehicle.
Police said they believed this incident could possibly be related to another three burglaries which Star reported on last week.
The three crimes – committed in Sunshine North and St Albans – involved men armed with a firearm and machete, or big knife, forcing their way into homes and demanding cash.
These offenders also smashed one victim’s car with the machete and hit a male victim with their firearm.
Anyone with information about the offences can contact Brimbank CIU on 9933 4816 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
