THE streets of Melton will be teeming with vibrant colours, talented dancers and an array of cultural extravaganzas this weekend as the annual Djerriwarrh Festival comes to town.
Residents are being encouraged to join in the fun this Saturday and enjoy this year’s festival which is based around the theme “celebrate”.
The day will include everyone’s favourite annual street parade, a variety of market stalls, the Lions Club carnival, activities and workshops for children and young people and a spectacular fireworks display.
Popular ’80s electro-pop icons Pseudo Echo and earthy psych-rockers Stonefield will headline the festival’s main stage and are sure to appeal to eclectic tastes.
Other acts will include performances from Bob the Builder, Danny Rio, Jayka Music Academy, Damien Howard, Bonjah and Vegas Baby.
The Get Active Expo and the City of Melton Business Expo will also take place in the community showcase ring.
