A POLICE helicopter was called to a high-speed pursuit involving an alleged stolen car Deer Park last Thursday.
Police said at around 3pm, officers attempted to intercept the speeding Mazda – but the driver refused to stop.
Police followed the vehicle along Station Rd and Ballarat Rd, before calling off the chase.
The car was then parked in the middle of the road in Hume St and three people fled from the vehicle.
Police said the abandoned car rolled forward and had a ‘minor collision’ with a parked car.
A short time later police arrested a Laverton man and a Deer Park man, both aged in their
mid-30s. The men are assisting police with their inquiries.
