A KINGS Park man has been charged in relation to a suspicious fire which allegedly left a mother and two young girls trapped inside, before they were rescued.
The man, 42, has been charged with conduct endangering life by police and faced Melbourne Magistrate’s Court earlier today.
Last night, fire crews arrived at the Caxton Court home and managed to help the girls and their mother escape the blaze.
Nearby residents also helped rescue the family. Two adolescent boys suffered burns in the blaze.
