WHEN Caroline Springs resident Frank Zammit hits the stage with fellow muso and singer Dave Sirianni, it’s all about the music.
The pair, who front popular local band The Pass Outs, have always had a passion for rock and say the thrill of playing in front of a live audience, whether it’s for a small group or large crowd, never wanes.
Front man and rock guru Sirianni said since teaming up in 2005 the band had worked long and hard to gain a reputation as a genuine rock band and while they spend their weekends playing covers at local venues, it’s writing original music that is their passion.
Big fans of legendary rock group Pearl Jam, The Pass Outs will release their
first Album, Dead Technology, early this year and are hoping for a positive response.
But ultimately it’s the love of music that keeps them going.
“I’ve been singing since I can remember,” Sirianni said.
“I always had the mindset that as long as I’m having fun, my performance will reflect that.
“That should never change.”
The duo has been working on the album for over a year and described the songs as melodic rock. Sirianni, who has been writing original pieces for the past decade, said while producing the album took many long arduous hours, it was all worth it.
