CITY West Falcons won their second game in succession in round two of the Victorian Netball League, defeating Boroondara Genesis 52-39.
After a tight first quarter in which Genesis was 13-12 up, the Falcons pulled away with a 14-7 second quarter, and outscored Genesis in the next two quarters.
Goal shooter Kathleen Knott produced an MVP performance with 34 goals, while goal attack Maggie Lind chipped in with 18.
Goal defence Casey Price was outstanding on Boroondara goaler Sally Jones.
Victoria University Western Lightning is yet to post a win after a 12-goal loss to Peninsula Waves.
Lightning will take on western rivals City West Falcons at the State Netball Hockey Centre in Parkville tomorrow night.
