Last year more than 5000 children were born at Sunshine Hospital – the first time the maternity unit has reached this significant milestone. Director of Women’s and Children’s Services Associate Professior Glyn Teale paid tribute to the hard-working staff at the hospital. “In 2008, there were 3800 babies born, so 5000 is an incredible increase in four years,” he said. “Managing such high numbers is a credit to the hard-working staff who have coped admirably despite the dramatic increase in births.” 92054 Picture: DAMJAN JANVESKI
