Ms Scully owns the Bella Essence Florist in Caroline Springs and with her busiest day just around the corner, her store is blooming.
While there are always the Valentine’s Day clichés, some requests are a little unusual.
But after 15 years in the business, there’s not much that fazes Ms Scully.
“We had a girl once who paid for a beautiful bunch of roses then asked for us to cut all the heads off.
“They were for her ex-boyfriend who broke up with her.
“And then we do get men that order two bunches, for two different women but we never ask any questions.
“It’s all part of being a florist.”
Ms Scully said Valentine’s Day was always so busy, she decided to open the doors early.
“We open at 7am and there’s usually a line waiting at the door.
“Most men tend to leave things ’til the last minute, so there’s always a rush on the day.
“It’s a bit of a challenge knowing how many flowers to order.”
