BUDDING Brimbank entertainers only have a few weeks left to register their interest in competing for the title of Brimbank Idol.
And it’s not only performers that can take part in the annual event – residents, community groups and businesses can also be part of the street parade or hold a market or food stall.
The festival will be held on Saturday 19 March in the heart of Sunshine, with world music, dance, children’s activities, street theatre, food, craft, stalls, carnival rides on offer.
The 2011 Brimbank Idol competition is for young people aged 12 to 24 years who live, work or study in Brimbank to showcase their vocal talents. The grand prize is a $500 voucher and a day’s recording time at MCS Recording Studios in Sunshine.
