Police seek help after man shot

HOMICIDE Squad detectives are appealing for witnesses after a critically injured man was dropped off at Sunshine Hospital with a bullet wound last week.
Brunswick man Sean Edward Walker was dropped off in the emergency ward at 10.48pm on Tuesday 1 May before being transferred to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition with a gunshot wound to the groin.
The 27-year-old man has undergone surgery and remains in a critical condition.
Homicide Squad Detective Inspector John Potter said it was important that investigators pieced together the man’s movement prior to the shooting.
“We are interested in speaking to anyone that knows Sean’s movements during the past 48 hours,” he said.
“He arrived at the hospital unconscious and hasn’t been able to provide any information to police.
“We need to know what happened to Sean and urge anyone with any information to contact police.
“We also ask the man and woman who dropped Sean off at the hospital to come forward and speak to police.”
Police have released an image of the victim and a Mitsubishi Verada sedan that they would like to locate.
The vehicle is light-coloured, with a sunroof and rear spoiler.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has further information about the matter is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au.
