A FAMILY home in Taylors Lakes was extensively damaged by fire on Easter Sunday.
Metropolitan Fire Brigade firefighters arrived at the Booth Way residence at 4.05pm on 31 March, after being called five minutes earlier.
They found a blaze at the single-storey, brick-veneer property that had occupied the entire roof space of the home.
Flames had penetrated the roof, resulting in a partial ceiling collapse.
Firefighters took 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.
No-one was home at the time of the blaze, which was attended by eight appliances and about 35 firefighters.
MFB specialist fire investigators have deemed the fire “not suspicious” and are still investigating its cause.
