The talented Year 12 students, who are in the middle of completing their VCE exams, will take part in the Sydenham Short Film Festival along with other schools across the city.
Year 12 media teacher Hayley Teu said the festival was an opportunity for the community to celebrate the hard work youngsters had put in throughout the year.
“It will be a great opportunity to acknowledge the hard work they’ve done,” Ms Teu said.
The group began designing their projects early in the year and Ms Teu was amazed to see how dedicated they became.
She did however admit that many of them were nervous to have their work displayed to the public.
“It’s daunting for some students,” she said.
“But it will allow their work to come into the public eye and show just how much effort they put in and how big Year 12 is.
“It’s a chance for them to celebrate with their family and community.”
The festival will take place on Tuesday 16 November, at Sydenham Library from 6.30pm to 8pm. Screenings commence 6.45pm sharp.
