AS THE 2013/14 season kicks off, the Western Suburbs’ two lifesaving clubs, Altona and Williamstown, will be joining forces for the first inter club Nippers competition. Athletes will compete in beach sprints, beach flag, wading in shallow water, board paddling, swimming and relays. There will be a gold coin donation to compete and all money raised will be donated to the Western Chances charity organisation. Western Chances embraces all six municipalities in the West and has assisted more than 1700 young people achieve their goals through a number of supportive measures.
