BILINGUAL Storytime sessions will recommence at Brimbank libraries for babies to children aged five years and their parents from Monday 17 January.
The Bilingual Storytime Program delivers bilingual storytime sessions to children in English/Dinka, English/Mandarin (Chinese) and English/Vietnamese.
Children who attend a session will hear stories, songs and rhymes in both languages that will assist in developing their bilingual literacy.
The program also supports parents and offers them valuable insights into the importance of reading to children in the early years and in their role as their child’s first teacher.
