YOU can find more than you bargained for at the Williamstown Hospital Opportunity Shop with branded clothing and good quality products hitting the racks and shelves.
The Williamstown Hospital Fund-raising Co-ordinator Nicky Cooper said the store had received a number of high quality fashion wares and quality goods all at affordable prices.
“By browsing through their stock you can work the latest trends into your own individual style for a fraction of the usual cost,” she said.
The shop recently sold a Royal Doulton tea set, two beautifully crafted Guy Boyd hand-painted plates and regularly stocks vintage comics and clothing.
Designer brands including Trent Nathan, Carla Zampatti, Sass & Bide and Country Road have appeared in the store recently.
“It really is a wonderful one stop shop.”
The opportunity shop closed mid-2013 to undergo a much needed renovation and re-opened in September last year.
Ms Cooper said since then it has constantly received positive comments on its welcoming feel, great range of stock and very friendly volunteer team.
“Last year the volunteer team at The Williamstown Hospital Opportunity Shop raised $106,000 for The Williamstown Hospital, a fantastic result that we’re hoping to further better this year.”
“The wonderful donations we continue to receive from the local community will help us with that goal.”
Ms Cooper said the team are looking for dedicated people to add to their team and to increase their fund-raising efforts.
