POLICE are calling for witnesses who may have seen a collision in Sunbury on Thursday morning.
Investigators believe a motorcyclist was travelling south on Horne St, when he was struck by a Holden Commodore utility turning right into a McDonalds restaurant car park just before 6am. The collision threw the rider from his motorcycle and he landed about five metres from the initial point of impact.
The rider, a 63-year-old man from Sunbury, was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious injuries.
The utility driver, a 19-year-old Clarkefield man, is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
