Taste bud bonanza

MELTON’S Tabcorp Park will become a hub for foodies this weekend as the inaugural Beer, Wine and Food Festival comes to town. Touted as one of the premier food, beer and wine events in Melbourne’s West, local connoisseurs are sure to enjoy not only some of Melton’s finest produce, but products from across Australia. Event organiser Raelene Day said attendees will be treated to live music, along with wine, cheese, micro-breweries and gourmet food exhibitions. Ms Day encouraged the whole family to come along and said free children’s rides and a jumping castle will keep youngsters entertained, while parents can enjoy information seminars and live cooking demonstrations by Patrick Aldred, co-owner of Spice Bazaar Cooking School. The festival will be held this Sunday, 17 February from 10am to 5pm. 93565 Picture: JOE MASTROIANNI
