Police said they were called to the Arthur Beechley Reserve in Ardoyne St around 7.45pm, after residents reported the facility was on fire.
The toilet block was on the south side of clubrooms at the reserve.
The MFB also attended the scene and put out the fire, but Senior Sergeant Fred Grove from Sunshine Police Station said the toilet block was “destroyed”.
“A large number of youths were seen in the area at the time,” Sen Sgt Grove said.
After the fire, police searched the area and arrested a 15-year-old Albion resident in a nearby shop
He was taken to the Sunshine Police Station and assisted police with their inquiries.Anyone with information about the fire has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
