Swim lessons on for longer

There's plenty of new programs on now at Paul Sadler Swimland.

Paul Sadler Swimland is about to embark on some of the most significant changes to the operation since its inception more than 40 years ago.
Commencing 20 January next year, the swim school will open for one week longer during each term, a total of 45 weeks throughout the year which will improve swimmers’ progression through the program.
Customers will receive some great additional services, including the ability to make up every lesson that is missed.
There will also be a direct debit payment option, so they can better manage payments throughout the year, BPay payments using a credit card will also be available and staff aim to improve communication, using SMS and email.
These changes aim to provide many benefits to everyone involved by offering greater opportunities for lessons and greater service flexibility throughout the year.
Special events on the horizon include a Christmas Theme Week which will run from 16 to 21 December.
This is where fun Christmas themed aquatic activities will be incorporated into the lessons.
Open Water Swim happens on 8 and 15 December at Brighton Middle Peer.
This is a free event and once swimmers complete this swim, it will open the door to a variety of other aquatic options, including triathlons, lifesaving and surfing.
Great Australia Day Swim is on at Brighton Middle Peer on 26 January.
Paul Sadler has been a swimming teacher since the 1970s.
His methods of teaching were producing great results, so he started a private swim school in Brighton, which was one of the first at the time in Australia.
In 1996 Paul Sadler Swimland took off in Glen Waverley at an already well-respected learn-to-swim institution in Melbourne.
As the reputation of the program grew, so did the opportunities with 13 sites opened across Australia and more than 500 staff teaching more than 27,000 children weekly.
“We do not take lightly that so many Australians entrust us with the great responsibility to teach their children to swim.
“We continue to ensure we remain world leaders in aquatic education, providing a fun and encouraging environment that continues to produce world class results,” Paul says.
Paul Sadler Swimland is at 1a Raleighs Rd, Melton, and is open weekdays 9am to 6.30pm and Saturday 8.30am to noon.
