THE OWNER of the pitbull that killed Ayen Chol has been ordered to appear in court in April.
St Albans’ Lazor Josevski, 57, was due to appear in the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court last Monday charged with eight offences, including owning a dog that attacked a person to death.
The charges fall under new legislation introduced last year after four-year-old Ayen was mauled to death when the dog wandered into her family home.
Her five-year-old cousin and 31-year-old aunt were also injured in the attack.
But the case was adjourned for the second time, having previously adjourned the case in December last year. Josevski will reappear in court on 24 April for a contest mention.
Ayen’s family appeared disappointed as they left the court room last week, but declined to comment.
