A 19-YEAR-OLD hoon driver was arrested after a short pursuit in Sunshine earlier this month.
The Glenroy teenager was performing wheelies in his car along Furlong Rd at 12.45am on Friday 3 February when he was spotted by a police patrol car.
The teenager failed to stop, and police pursued him into Ford St, where he abandoned his car and ran away on foot.
The Dog Squad was called to the scene, and located the driver hiding in the front yard of a home.
His car was impounded under the hoon legislation and he was charged with evading police, careless driving and speeding among other offences.
