IRAMOO workers Wendy Lang and Molly Burke have got one big picture. The image is a unique panorama depicting Victoria’s volcanic plains which will go on display when St Albans’ Iramoo Sustainable Community Centre throws open its doors this month. The stunning Volcano Dreaming artwork is 12 metres wide and two metres high and is made up of more than 3000 photos joined together to create a panorama portraying the wildflower grasslands, which stretch from the banks of the Yarra River to the Grampians. Iramoo commissioned local artists to create the panorama, which will be used as an education tool in schools and community events. Discussions are also underway to present the work in an upcoming exhibition. The centre’s opening day will be held on 25 June from 11am – 3pm and will include gardening and planting demonstrations, grassland tours, lizard and beekeeping displays.
