Last month Year 10 students heard experts talk about animal cruelty and animal experimentation.
A speaker from CSAWN said it was encouraging that students chose animal cruelty as a topic to focus on as part of their social justice subject and by educating young people about the importance of treating animals with respect and shunning cruelty and neglect, it would improve the lives of animals.
Students were also given showbags filled with literature on alternatives to animal experiments, cruelty free shopping guides as well as information on factory farming and the environmental consequences of food choices.
