A SERIES of free community concerts will be performed by police bands throughout Hobsons Bay this month.
At 1.30pm on Thursday the Victoria Police Pipe Band, a traditional Scottish bagpipe band, will play at the Altona Gate Shopping Centre.
Between 5-6.30pm on the same day, another police band named Code One will put on a show at Logan Reserve, in Altona.
The rock group performs hits from the fifties through until the latest Top 40 songs.
On Thursday 24 January the Victoria Police Showband – featuring saxophones, trumpets, trombones, keyboards, drums, guitar, bass and vocals – will perform at Commonwealth Reserve in Williamstown from 5-6.30pm.
At the same time on Thursday 31 January the reserve will also host a Code One show.
