POLICE have appealed for public assistance to help locate a missing Sydenham senior citizen.
John Manariti, aged 90, was last seen getting into bed about 8pm however he was noticed missing from his home in Lily Dve about 10pm last night.
Mr Manariti suffers from dementia and other medical conditions which require regular medication.
Police and family are deeply concerned for Mr Manariti’s welfare due to his age, health and the present extreme weather conditions in Melbourne.
Police and family assisted in the search for Mr Manariti overnight.
He is perceived to be Southern European in appearance, about 168 cm tall with a medium build, short grey hair and an olive complexion.
He was last seen wearing a cream polo top, brown grey trousers and blue slippers.
It is believed Mr Manariti has his wallet with him, which contains his identification, and that he is also wearing a medical bracelet with his family’s contact numbers.
Police have released an image of the 90-year-old in the hope someone will recognise him and can provide information regarding his whereabouts.
Anyone who sees Mr Manariti has been urged to call triple zero (000) immediately.
