POLICE have charged an 80-year-old man after an alleged indecent assault in Deer Park earlier this month.
Footscray Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team charged the man with sexual penetration of a child under 16, rape, indecent act with a child under 16 and other sexual assault related charges.
He has been bailed by police to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 25 May.
The charges relate to an incident at Isabella Williams Memorial Park in Opie St at around 11am on Sunday 6 May when the man is alleged to have approached a 13-year-old girl.
