THE Rotary clubs of Melton and Melton Valley are calling on the community to support their latest bid to raise much-needed funds for vital services.
In conjunction with Tabcorp Park, the clubs will host a charity race night on Friday 25 October and are looking for race sponsors and donations of raffle gifts.
Money raised will go to the State Emergency Service, Combined Churches Caring Melton and the Melton Botanical Gardens Project.
The night will include harness racing, auctions, raffles, expert tips and entertainment and promises to be a great night out.
Recently both clubs have raised thousands of dollars for the End Polio Now project and have provided vital assistance for local organisations like Bacchus Marsh and Melton Regional Hospital, Men’s Shed, the Djerriwarrh Festival and The Royal Melbourne Agricultural Society of Victoria.
Tickets for the charity race night are $35 per person for a two course buffet and race book.
The evening will commence at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.
Anyone interested in purchasing a ticket or making a donation should contact Brian Dobson from Melton Rotary Club on 0427 824 780 or Graham Dempsey from Melton Valley Rotary Club on 0412 367 044 or Courtney from Tabcorp Park on 9746 0631.
