POLICE are on the hunt for a gang of youths who robbed a teenager in Sunshine West last week.
At around 4.40pm on Tuesday a 17-year-old girl was walking down the bicycle path near Anderson Rd when she was confronted by a group of youths, including three males and two females.
One of the girls asked the teenager for the time and the girl took out her phone to check.
The group then demanded the teenager hand over the phone.
The girl refused and called triple zero.
Emergency operators overheard the group threatening the girl. The group later stole the phone from the girl.
The victim ran away and sought help from a home in nearby Calder Crt.
Detectives from Sunshine’s Criminal Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are seeking witnesses.
