A 67-YEAR-OLD man was arrested following a firearms incident in Melton West last week.
Police attended a Harkness Road address after two men and a woman were allegedly threatened with a firearm and shots were fired shortly before 6pm last Wednesday afternoon.
A man sustained minor arm injuries and the woman sustained minor facial injuries during the incident.
The Melton West man was arrested by police after a short siege.
He is currently in custody and assisting police with their inquiries.
Police believe all parties are known to each other.
Meanwhile, two shipping containers were broken into in Rockbank and Melton West earlier this month. Police said bolt cutters were used on both occasions to cut the locks on the containers and power tools were stolen.
The incidents took place between 1 and 4 March and other items including a clothes dryer, blinds and doors were taken.
And earlier this month offenders threw rocks at Brookside College in Federation Way, Caroline Springs. Seven external lights and windows were damaged in the incident.
