Call for budget submissions

HOBSONS Bay City Council is calling for submissions on the proposed 2010/11 budget.
The budget is on exhibition and has allocated $6.2 million for upgrades including roads, footpaths, drainage, traffic and parking.
Major road, footpaths, drainage and traffic projects scheduled in the proposed budget include $1.92 million on the local road rehabilitation program, $1.18 million on the road resurfacing program, $1.12 million on the footpath program, $450,000 on Esplanade, Williamstown streetscape works and $440,000 on drainage works.
Written comments can be submitted until 5pm on 9 June. Submissions can be mailed to Director Business and Finance Glenn O’Sullivan, Hobsons Bay City Council, PO Box 21, Altona 3018.
