Driver killed

A MAN was killed and a woman seriously injured in a Burnside traffic collision last Wednesday.
Police said the incident occurred around 2am on Burke Rd.
They believe the car involved rolled a number of times, killing the male driver and seriously injuring the female passenger.
The man has been identified as a 36-year-old from Keilor Downs.
Incident controller Ken Walker from the Caroline Springs CFA said three fire trucks and nine fire-fighters attended the scene.
He said crews were kept busy until 7am, as a lot of petrol from the car was running into drains and needed to be contained.
He said SES crews used cutting equipment to help ambulance officers free the two people inside the car.
Police have been investigating the cause of the collision and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
