‘Beautiful and kind’

TRIBUTES flowed last week for a St Albans school girl whose life was cut short in a tragic train accident in St Albans.
Teresa Ho was hit by an oncoming V/Line train as she crossed the tracks at Ginifer Station on Monday last week.
Teachers and peers from Catholic Regional College in St Albans, as well as members of the wider community, remembered the teenager, who lived in Cairnlea, as a “beautiful” and “kind” girl.
In the wake of the devastating event, the Brimbank community rallied together to remember the 15-year-old, with moving memorials attended by hundreds of mourners, flowers and heartfelt messages on a Facebook page dedicated to her.
CRC St Albans principal Christina Utri said the sudden passing of one of the school’s students came as a terrible shock for the school community.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this very sad time and the school will look at supporting them as much as possible,” Ms Utri said.
“Our students will be offered counselling as many will be devastated by the tragedy.”
On a Facebook paged titled ‘RIP Teresa Ho’, the teenager was described as an “angel” as youngsters and adults alike mourned her passing.
“I wish this was all a dream. I’m missing you so much,” wrote one Facebook user.
A friend wrote, “Rest in Peace, my beautiful angel. I’m so grateful for meeting you that first day hey. You will be dearly missed by many.”
She was also remembered as a strong teenager who listened to her peers and often gave sound advice.
“You were so beautiful and kind, you gave the best advice anyone could ever give. I never got to say thank you to you. You were one of those people that I looked up to, that I respected. It hurts so much that you’re gone now. Rip Teresa, thanks to you I’ve been strong and able to stand up for myself.”
