KEILOR East graphic designer Cameron Morrison is hoping to sell as many of his uniquely designed T-shirts as possible, in a bid to win the Yooralla TEE T-shirt competition.
The 23-year-old is one of 16 finalists of the competition which is aimed at breaking down discrimination against people with a disability, by encouraging positive images of them.
Inspired by the theme disability versus diversity, Mr Morrison’s T-shirts display a flock of birds in the shape of the letter D.
The talented designer said his T-shirt represented the importance of equality within the community.
“We may act or look different, however we are all the same. We are capable of flying towards common goals for the good of us all,” Mr Morrison said.
He said the T-shirt, which took over two months to design, was one of his proudest achievements and he hoped to continue in the fashion industry.
The T-shirts will be sold at Northland, Chadstone and Melbourne Central stores.
A percentage of every T-shirt sold will go towards Yooralla and the winner will receive a cash prize and a contract to design for T-Bar, a designer T-shirt company.
