HOBSONS Bay City Council Mayor Angela Altair soaked up the sun last week at the historical Williamtown Botanic Gardens. Cr Altair inspected the Botanic Gardens’ ornamental lake which is now thriving one year after major restoration works. The lake is populated by several fish and bird species, surrounded by majestic trees and has beautiful water lillies floating on the surface. The botanic gardens were established around 1860 and are listed on the Victorian Heritage Register. They are also listed on the National Register and classified by The National Trust of Australia. 91438 Picture: KRISTIAN SCOTT
