YOUNGSTER Jasmine donned her red hat and had some festive fun getting into the Christmas spirit last week. The six-year-old was kept busy trying to work out what was inside the wrapped presents under her family’s Christmas tree at their Laverton home. Other children in Hobsons Bay will be able to gain some Christmas joy at Carols by Candlelight in Altona Meadows on Saturday 22 December with children’s activities from 6pm and singing at 8pm. The event will be on at Trafalgar Avenue Community Park, 28/36 Trafalgar Ave or the Trafalgar Avenue Community Centre in the case of inclement weather. The Williamstown Carols by Candlelight will be on Sunday 23 December at Commonwealth Reserve, Nelson Place or the Holy Trinity Church if the weather turns bad.
