Bus stop attack

By LAURA WAKELY
A GOOD Samaritan helped prevent an armed robbery in Delahey last week.
The man was passing a bus stop at Copperfield Dr near Goldsmith Ave when he saw two men attacking a teenager.
The man intervened and the two men fled the scene in a car heading north on Copperfield Drive.
Police believe the 16-year-old Hillside teenager was sitting at the bus stop when the two men pulled up in a dark red or maroon coloured Nissan Pulsar sedan.
The men approached the teenager and threatened him with a screwdriver, demanding he hand over his phone.
When he refused, the men attacked him before the Samaritan intervened.
Police attended and searched the area but found no trace of the men. The 16-year-old victim was shaken, but uninjured.
The offenders are described as being of Pacific Islander appearance.
