CRICKET legends and Victoria Police members threw on their cricket whites last week in the annual Twentieth Man Fund Cops versus Kids match at Maribyrnong’s Merv Hughes Oval. A team of street kids led by cricket legend Merv Hughes (pictured), and Rodney Hogg, went up against a Victorian Police 11 led by Deputy Commissioner Graham Ashton. “The cricket match provides a unique opportunity for young people from the western region to see the police in a different light, and it works to break down barriers, providing both the police, and the kids, with a greater respect for each other,” Les Twentyman said. 95365 Picture: JOE MASTROIANNI
