Hobsons Bay City councillor Luba Grigorovitch has won the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTUS) Jennie George award. The award recognises the contributions to women’s advancement in unions. ACTU president Ged Kearney said Ms Grigorovitch has developed an outstanding reputation nationally for defending and improving the working conditions of women in the rail, tram and bus industries. “I would especially like to recognize the RTBU women who have come together to ensure that we work to improve conditions and rights for women in our industry,” Ms Grigorovitch said. 86062 Picture: KRISTIAN SCOTT
