AUSTRALIAN Women’s running champion Melissa Breen taught a children’s athletics clinic before she competed in the 2014 St Albans Gift at the Kings Park Reserve on Saturday.
Sponsored by the St Albans Sports Club and Brimbank City Council, the Victorian Athletics League event attracted a large crowd of spectators and competitors.
Ms Breen, who represented Australia at the London Olympic Games in the 100 metre and relay events, gave the youngsters some valuable tips about staying fit and running well.
