SARAH Xuereb has always had a sweet tooth for tasty treats.

The Taylors Lakes resident developed her love of good food at a young age and admitted she has a slight addiction to baking.

The mother-of-three is the creator of cooking blog ‘Sweet Inspirations of Sarah’ which posts recipes and tutorials for amateur bakers.

“You see these cakes and they look fantastic and you wonder how they are made and realise it’s easier than you think,” Sarah said.

“There are probably a lot of mums and parents out there who enjoy doing a bit of baking, but they might not know where to start.”

Sarah’s love for creating and decorating delectable delights began when she baked a cake for her cousin’s communion.

The self-taught baker decided to start up her own blog after constantly being approached by friends and family for recipes.

Her Facebook page already has more than 400 likes and Sarah said she had received positive feedback about her new website.

“I’ve got people from overseas who have come across it. It’s a bit of word of mouth and I would like to see it keep growing.”

Sarah said she enjoys making cakes for kids and believes parents like to know exactly what is in their children’s food.

“My kids are like me, they’ve all got a sweet tooth,” she said.

“If you are getting cakes baked from scratch, you know there are quality ingredients in them.”

Sarah said she dreams of opening her own cake-decorating shop in Brimbank in the future.

“We really don’t have something like that over here. It would be nice to have something in our area,” Sarah said.
