A BURGLARY suspect narrowly escaped being caught after being spotted in Sunshine last week.
Members of the Brimbank Burglary Unit were walking through the Sunshine Marketplace car park on their way to the law courts on Friday morning when they saw a man they wished to speak to over a previous burglary.
When the officers in plain clothes approached the man and attempted to speak to him, he jumped into a car and drove off at high speed.
The policemen attempted to chase him down on foot but were unable to catch the suspect.
The man was last seen driving a commodore in the direction of the Sunshine CBD.
