Clothes racket hung out to dry

A WOMAN has pleaded guilty after being caught buying stolen goods in Sunshine North last year.
Detectives from Sunshine’s Criminal Investigation Unit executed a search warrant on a Sunshine North home on 19 November, following a three-month investigation into an illegal clothing racket.
Detectives found the woman inside purchasing clothes, including jeans and a t-shirt.
She was taken to the Sunshine Police Station and charged with dealing in the proceeds of crime.
Detectives also confiscated $60,000 worth of stolen clothing during the search. The woman will take part in the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court Diversion Program.
