HOBSONS Bay City Council is holding out its hand for State Government cash to fund a host of facilities to help local sports clubs weather the drought.
The council will apply for funding towards a proposed $800,000 synthetic lacrosse ground at Paisley Park in Altona North as well as $40,000 to convert a tennis court in Power St, Newport to a synthetic surface.
It is also seeking $35,000 to help local lawn bowling clubs install recycled water tanks.
