Governor-General wheels in for a meal

Governor-General Quentin Bryce made a special visit to Melbourne’s West last week. To mark the 60th anniversary of Meals on Wheels, Ms Bryce, pictured with Hobsons Bay City Council CEO Bill Jaboor, visited the Community Chef Regional Kitchen in Altona. The special guest was taken on a tour of the food production facility which provides up to 2.2 million meals per year for Meals on Wheels clients. Ms Bryce also made a special visit to the UCAN Cafe in Altona North. As Patron for Yooralla, the Governor-General met clients and their families during the visit. The UCAN Cafe is a social enterprise that provides employment and professional development opportunities for young people with a disability. 81557 Picture: VANESSA CHIRCOP
